Nestled at the entrance of Workum, I recently found myself charmed by B&B De Hoop-a delightful retreat steeped in history, as it once served as a schoolhouse. Accompanied by a fellow beer enthusiast, we were instantly drawn in by the characterful rooms, each uniquely decorated and inviting. The owners displayed great hospitality, making us feel right at home; their warmth added to the overall pleasant vibe. Mornings here are a treat, as the breakfast spread features local delights, catering to every preference. Whether you fancy a hearty buffet or a lighter continental option, you won't be disappointed. We particularly enjoyed unwinding in the lovely garden after our meals, a perfect spot to sip a cup of tea and discuss the day's adventures in the area. While there was a mix-up with our room initially, the proprietor promptly resolved it, proving that they truly care about their guests. If you're keen on exploring, the surrounding area is ideal for hiking and cycling, making for a perfect way to immerse yourself in the picturesque landscape.
